Rest

An important reminder: Resting is an action.

Don't forget it. The source of any dynamic activity comes from regular access to dynamic rest. In our busier-is-better society, we've come to believe that stopping to rest is lazy or a waste of time.

When we don't deliberately rest, we end up wasting a lot more time due to enforced rest (burnout). Our practice is centered around giving the body access to rest that's 5 times deeper than sleep. In that state of deep rest, the parasympathetic nervous system gets to work re-energizing, restoring, repairing, and releasing stress.

We may be adding 40 minutes to our day, but we'll find we end up getting more done. If we're looking to be more productive, we must curate an efficient rest regimen into our daily routine.
