Mornings

This past Sunday, I started off my morning with a hello to the rising sun, a meditation, and cuddles with Roscoe (my parrot).

I then went for a stroll in the neighborhood, enjoyed the sights/sounds/crisp air, smiled at a few folks who crossed my path, then found a little cafe to sit and read. They had excellent music playing so I sat there, enjoyed my breakfast, and sang along.

Folks try real hard to be more present. What makes us think more thinking, effort, and concentration are going to bring that about when it’s what gets us into trouble?

Present moment awareness is a natural byproduct of Vedic Meditation. The more we practice Being, the less we have to try so hard in life to simply be.

Do your nervous system—and your mornings—a favor: learn Vedic Meditation.
