Be Happy, Don’t Worry

We've all been there before: in the throes of worry or anxiety and someone tells us "Don't worry" or "Take it easy." Almost always, these caring commands have the opposite effect. As much as I love the Bobby McFerrin song, I've found it more productive to switch the two commands around:

Be happy, don't worry.

Trying not to worry takes a lot of time and effort. Switch it around and get to the source of the issue. I've found that worry creeps in when we're lacking in capability and bliss. Best way to be more capable and blissed-out on a daily basis?

Vedic Meditation

In taking time every day to experience fulfillment from within, we're naturally less reactive and a lot more capable. We're giving ourselves regular access to profound levels of bliss physically, mentally, and consciously. As life's demands continue to roll our way, we find ourselves able to handle it. And we feel okay along the way.

Worrying becomes irrelevant when we're able to experience bliss.
